A sneak peak

The story of our wedding wouldn't be complete without lots of pictures, so I am going to wait to post that until we have the professional pictures back! I have been able to download a few that friends have posted online, so I'll share a few sneak peaks for now.

Rehearsal Dinner

The weather was beautiful for our rehearsal, so we practiced outside with hopes that we could still do the ceremony outside on Saturday.

We ran through it a couple of times and then also practiced inside.

Trying to figure out where to go

After we finished rehearsing we had a delicious Italian dinner followed by my favorite dessert - a brownie with chocolate icing and strawberries on top.

The beautiful set-up for dinner

We stayed and partied for a while. Christy Colgan (my maid of honor)'s husband, Jonathan, brought his speaker set up and two of my other bridesmaids, Brenna and Allison, made a great dinner mix of music followed by some party music. And of course a party wouldn't be a party without some drinking games so we had to blow up balloons for slam and pop! This is a crazy, fun game that was created at Chad's 30th birthday party.

It was definitely a great start to the weekend of celebrating.

April 16, 2011 - Record Breaking Storms

It just so happens that our wedding day was also a day that had record breaking storms across central NC. We got very lucky and no one we know was badly hurt or damaged, just hail dents on a lot of cars! Many of our guests saw tornadoes on their way to the wedding and they hit all around us, but luckily dodged the Preston Woodall House. Here is a youtube video of the damage in downtown Raleigh. It was record breaking for NC.

What this is all about

So as you probably know we just got married! Not only is any normal wedding a blur to the bride and groom but we got married in the middle of a huge storm in central NC, making it even more of a blur to remember. I thought we'd write out all of the events of the weekend so we have our own little storybook and can share with those who couldn't make it! After our wedding story I thought I'd share our honeymoon with everyone and then the adventures that we take in life as a family! So I'll get around to posting all of that before long. The only pictures that I have right now are going to be stolen from friends off of facebook but when the professional ones get done I'll share them!
