Summer Fun

Some random fun things we've been doing so far this summer

Rick and Jennifer got a new boat and we tested it out on Falls Lake!

We threw a "bridal shower" at school for Anna & Ricky

I've been making some more crafts with my silhouette

On one of our workdays my coworkers were trying to catch the stray kittens that live at school, I watched from afar

More crafts with the silhouette machine, more on this later!

Vegas and Tyson love playing at Barley's.... and really love his toy pig

Unfortunately, Trey didn't end up getting to fish in the Big Rock Tournament with his parents so instead he and Rick went fishing on Falls Lake!

Went to a birthday party in Creedmoor and enjoyed exploring the farm

And for Father's Day we took my dad to the US Open in Pinehurst! Thanks to Christy's mom who was able to score us tickets :)

First Beach Weekend of the Summer

A few weekends ago we went to the beach and brought along a couple of Trey's friends from work so that the boys could do some fishing. I got some nice "me" time while they went out fishing. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable weekend. And much needed since I was getting a lovely summer cold.

NYC to Visit Allison

It had been a while since I went to New York to visit Allison. The last time I was there I had a busted knee! And now that Trey doesn't work weekends he was available to come with me!

We got there Friday night of Memorial Day weekend and it was nice and rainy as we trekked from the airport to Allison's apartment. For dinner that night we went to The Meatball Shop. It was amazing. Huge meatballs, great sides and decadent desserts.

Saturday we rented bikes and rode around Central Park for a couple of hours, then headed down to Pier 25 to play mini golf.

On the way back to the apartment Trey of course found a craft beer store to try to find some brews from the area.

That night we saw "Bayside the Musical" ... it was a parody of Saved by the Bell, it was raunchy and hilarious.

Sunday we went to a bottomless Mexican brunch followed by a Mets game. Lots of fun in the sun!

Since we were out in Queens, after the game we went to a beer garden in Astoria. They happened to be having a Czech and Slovak festival. We had a drink there and then headed to Single Cut Brewery, just down the road. They were having a "bbq" aka a cookout for the holiday and also had an hourly half priced beer special!

Monday morning we went for a run along the East River and then had lunch at the diner before having to head to the airport.

It was a full weekend and we were beat when we got home, but it was a blast!
