Monday we went to Epcot, our favorite park! This time of year is the Flower and Garden festival there, and Trey loved it! It was so nice to walk around and enjoy all of the sights, they had beautiful character topiaries, sections of garden ideas, all kinds of plants and a butterfly garden. It took us a few hours to see all that there was to see of the flowers.

We had lunch at the Coral Reef - the restaurant inside the Living Seas where you get to look in to the live fish tank (Where, on Full House, Uncle Jesse and Joey did their radio broadcast from inside!). It was a cool view and a pretty good meal. It was nothing spectacular but worth doing once.

We rode a few rides that afternoon and enjoyed the World Showcase. Trey and I drank our way around the World Showcase over the times that we went to Epcot - we didn't do it all in one day. It was cool to try beers from all of the different countries. We didn't ever have beers from Mexico and America. All they had in Mexico was Dos Equis... that's nothing unique in our opinion and in America they had budweiser and Sam Adams... there are some awesome beers in America - why are those representing our country?!

That night we watched the fireworks from the beach of the campground. Fort Wilderness is on Bay Lake (natural), which connects to the Seven Seas Lagoon (man made) that Magic Kingdom is on, so the fireworks from Magic Kingdom can be seen (and heard!) from all of the "Magic Kingdom Resorts" (Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian) around the lake! They also have an Electric Water Paegent that comes around to all of those resorts on the water front that has been going on since the 70s! That comes around right before the fireworks.
Tuesday morning we got up and made it in to the park 30 minutes after it opened - this may have been a record for our family, especially with dogs vacationing with us. It has always taken us a while to get up and out and we are never in a rush to get into the park. We wanted to get there early to get on rides and get fast passes before the crowds got crazy. We went to Animal Kingdom, Trey and I speed walked back to Expedition Everest to get fastpasses and then met my parents at the Safari to get in line for that. We only waited about 15 minutes through that line and got on the Safari nice and early! The animals are pretty active in the mornings so we got to see a lot of animals up close. As we were driving along a rhino was walking basically right beside our safari truck!

There is a new behind the scenes tour that goes above the safari! |
After the safari it was time to go ride Expedition Everest, it is such a fun roller coaster! Then we got more fastpasses to come back and ride it again! The second time mom and dad didn't feel like riding it, so Trey and I used their fast passes when we came back - we rode it 3 times that day :)

We walked through the jungle trek in "Asia" and saw a lot of cool animals, the gorillas were napping but the baby was up playing, he was very cute.
There is also a monkey area where we stood for a while and watched two monkeys play tag - it was adorable! They were chasing each other back and forth all around the bamboo poles they have, literally playing tag. While they were playing, another monkey was just hanging out in front of the crowd, somewhat showing off. They are funny animals.
We headed home in the early afternoon and hung out with the dogs for a while before we went out for dinner that night.
We went to Kona Cafe in the Polynesian for dinner, it was wonderful! Then we took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom to see the Electric Light Parade and ride some rides late into the night.
