Cruise Day 3 - Labadee, Haiti

Our first port of call was Labadee, Haiti. It is a private "island" (not really an island) in Haiti, that the Royal Caribbean has something like a 100 year lease on.

While we were on the treadmill in the gym (at the front of the ship) the ship was pulling in to Haiti, so that was pretty cool to watch as we arrived (and at least entertaining while we ran). When we got back to our room we could see part of the island right from our balcony.

There isn't much to "explore" as the private island is pretty small and you don't go out to any local shops or anything. There are gorgeous beaches, a zipline and a roller coaster along with excursions like snorkeling, scuba diving, etc. We were really tempted by the zipline but didn't want to pay $100 each for 2 minutes of fun. We decided to enjoy the beautiful beach and water for the day. I took my water proof camera and it was dead :( so we didn't get any pictures actually on the island that day!

And another delicious dinner followed by tons of dessert. As the week progresses our waitress continued to add on additional plates of food for us to sample everything.
